Job Summary

The Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care on short-term assignments at healthcare facilities experiencing staffing needs. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician, the Travel LPN delivers safe, high-quality nursing care while adapting quickly to new environments, policies, and patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Physician

  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes in condition

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with licensure and facility policies

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition

  • Perform wound care and collect specimens as ordered

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records

  • Follow facility protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Adapt quickly to new clinical settings, workflows, and electronic health record systems

  • Support patient comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (multi-state or state-specific as required)

  • Minimum 1 years of recent LPN clinical experience preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required

  • Ability to travel and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new teams

Pay Rate
$41.70 - $46.58/hour
