Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Surgical Technologist (CST/NCCT) to support a busy acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatrics (preferred minimal experience), adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You will play a key role in assisting surgeons, preparing the OR, supporting procedures, and maintaining a safe, efficient surgical environment.

Daily average case volume is approximately 30 cases, so the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.

General Job Duties

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures.

  • Assist surgeons and OR staff throughout surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies as required.

  • Maintain strict sterile technique according to hospital and regulatory standards.

  • Support pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical cases as needed.

  • Collaborate with RNs, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Float to similar units if needed based on hospital demand.

  • Document procedures and instrument counts accurately in Epic.

  • Participate in emergency/on-call cases as scheduled.

  • Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and restocking between cases.



Required Qualifications

  • Active CA license/certification (No pending licenses)

  • BLS (AHA)

  • NCCT or CST certification required

  • Minimum experience: Open to first-time travelers

  • Must be able to float between similar units

Schedule Requirements

  • Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Day Shift, 5x8)

  • On-Call: Required

    • 1 weekend per month

    • 1–2 on-call shifts per week

  • Weekend Work: Yes

  • RTO: Must be submitted with profile

Pay Rate
$38.38 - $41.58/hour
