Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician for a 12-week night-shift assignment. In this role, the clinician will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments, equipment, and medical supplies are properly decontaminated, sterilized, assembled, and packaged in accordance with established standards and protocols.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of sterile processing procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours.

Responsibilities

Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
Operate sterilization equipment including steam, gas, and low-temperature sterilizers.
Maintain accurate records for sterilization loads, biological testing, and equipment maintenance.
Ensure proper inventory levels of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to meet instrument and supply needs.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns to the appropriate department.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD preferred).
Previous experience in a Sterile Processing Department, ideally in a hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and instrument handling.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift instrument trays as required.
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to procedural standards.
Ability to work effectively on night shifts with minimal supervision.

Pay Rate
$35.02 - $39.90/hour
