Position Summary:
Join the exceptional Sterile Processing team, where every role supports our mission of delivering safe, high-quality surgical care. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our surgical instruments and environments meet the highest standards of safety and readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and distribute designated supplies to assigned areas.
- Ensure all equipment and instruments are available and ready for each surgical case.
- Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments in accordance with AMMI recommended practices.
- Complete and verify accuracy of instrument count sheets.
- Assist OR staff in locating and preparing instruments as needed.
- Maintain permanent sterilization records for Surgery and other departments per regulatory standards.
- Reestablish a clean and safe environment post-procedure, including room and equipment turnover.
- Prepare and maintain surgical supplies and specialty equipment (e.g., laryngoscope blades, tubing, filters, ultrasound, fluid/blood warmers, specialty pumps, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one year of recent Sterile Processing experience required.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
Pay Rate
$32.26 - $35.46/hour
