General Certification Requirements (BLS) BLS, ARRT (ARDMS) Breast
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? "3 diagnostic locations- Boise, Nampa, Meridian
Boise- 3 U/S machines, Nampa and Meridian- 1 U/S machine at each
"
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Will only cover diagnostic ultrasound at Boise, Nampa, or Meridian
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Diagnostic Ultrasound. Breast scans and possibly procedures- biopsies and aspirations
Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must be certified in breasts and be able to potentially do procedures- assist with biopsies and aspirations
Must have 3-4 years of Ultrasound breast experience
Must have done at least 1 travel contract"
Average # of scans/studies per day "about 14-16 per day all locations, Boise might be a little less due to more techs on site
Boise will have 3-4 techs working per day depending on the day
Nampa and Meridian will have 2 techs working on procedures, and 1 tech on work up days"
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use "EMR: EPIC
PACS: Change"
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Philips EPIC
Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift? We have leads available may not be at the specific location
Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no
Radiologist in-house? yes for diagnostics are onsite at each location and all studies are reviewed real time
Do they have to start IVs? (if applicable to the department) no
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 8 hour shifts, shifts vary from 0730-1600, 08-430, 830-5

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? any color of scrubs as long as clean and professional
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2-3 shifts in addition to general orientation
Additional Notes really team oriented, a lot of resources available to travelers. Have RNs that assist with procedures as well
