Candidates must have experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience and successful completion of at least 1 travel contract.
Unit Candler 4N
- # Beds: 12
- Nurse Patient Ratios: 4-1
- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, etc.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Telemetry
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: PCU Nurse will
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: set rate
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes
- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, 12 - 1
- RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Nasal, face masks, bipap
- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? No, it is monitored on the 3rd floor
- Are RNs required to read their own strips? No
- What brand are the tele monitors?: Space Lab
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Yes to self-scheduling
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Yes
- Is there call or a standby requirement?:. No
- Floating Requirements: No
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy scrubs - Yes
- Unit/Department specific orientation: One day computer skills with basic knowledge assessment test, two shifts in orientation w preceptor - Yes

$52.02 - $55.22/hour
