Unit Notes
75 mile radius from the travelers driver's license to the facility. Must provide this information at time of submit.
• Unit Oncology-7th floor and outpatient, travelers will only work on floor
• # beds 29 beds
• Certs BLS, prefer NIHSS, ONS if want to do chemo-2 years of experience required in specialty, no first-time travelers
• Ratios 1:5, on occasion 1:6
• EMR Meditech
• Charge Nurse Charge Nurse out of the staffing grid, unless unusual circumstances.
• Nurse Aides Yes, generally 3 per day
• Shifts 6:45-7:15
• Weekend Requirement Every other weekend
• Holidays- Rotate in w/ staff
• Scrub Color- Carribean Blue
• Tele Yes, central monitor, not a requirement to read strips
• Floating - Rarely, to medical acute
• Floor specific orientation- 3 days
• Common diagnosis / Types of patient’s - Acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, oncology, end of life care
• Additional Notes- Outpatient area patients-- will come to floor and finish treatment if running late and outpatient area closes
Pay Rate
$50.56 - $53.76/hour
