Strict 75 mile radius rule
Must have 2 years of IR/Vascular Lab experience with 1 travel contract or 4 years w/o travel experience.
Unit Vascular Lab--located on North Campus
Notes Obtained by A Barna
# suites/labs 3 procedure rooms; pre/post recovery
Certs BLS, ACLS for RNs; BLS only for techs
#cases per day on average 8-12, 90% are outpatient
EMR/Equipment Meditech
Charge Nurse Team Lead
Techs? Use surgical techs
Holidays Usually closed on holidays
Scrub Color/provided Green or white
Tele Bedside is Phillips portable
RT 24/7 In house during regular hours
Pharmacy 24/7 In house during regular hours
Shifts M-F 830a-5pm (No call, No Weekend)
Floor specific orientation 3 weeks max
Common cases Lifeport, PICC, sonogram, fistulogram, caths, declots, grafts, fistulas, balloons, stents, vein mapping
Additional Notes Nurses must prep, do intraprocedure monitoring and sedation and recover post. Techs will also pull supplies, run charges and do room prep
Additional Questions Nurses must be comfortable with pre and post care along with intracare.
Prefer cardiac, ICU or ER experience because patients are quite ill. Must be comfortable working with cardiac arrests, etc.
Require minimum 2 years experience.
