Position Summary:
A Psychiatric Nurse, provides direct patient mental health care based on the orders of a doctor or nurse practitioner. Their duties include administering medications, implementing treatment plans and educating patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
- Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
- Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
- Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
- Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
- Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
- Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
- Conducting targeted psychoeducation, particularly within families.
- PA or Compact RN license in hand
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2 year experience
Pay Rate
$51.29 - $54.49/hour
