1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms

Labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care. Will float to med-surg to assist if OB unit is closed.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any
EPIC, OBIX, Accudose

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc.

Must have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.

4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (BLS, ACLS, NCCPA/AANP) Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required?

Wisconsin RN license, NRP, BLS

5. Dress Code:
Scrubs of any color

Additional Qualifications
Obstetric RN
1. Demonstrates competency in care and management of the obstetrical ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum patient; low risk neonates
2. Initiates appropriate referral to hospital and community resources
3. Supports department specific protocols related to breast feeding, infant safety, and security
4. Meets department on-call requirements
5. Demonstrates competency in venous umbilical lines, chest tubes, and amnioinfusion
6. Ability to assess neonate at delivery and perform neonatal resuscitation
7. Demonstrates knowledge of fetal monitoring. Identifies fetal heart rate patterns and treats appropriately
8. Two years of OB experience desirable
9. Certification in CPR, NRP and STABLE
