Additional Comments:
We are often compared to a more acute Progressive Care or Step-Down Unit. Our Intermediate Care Unit cares for a vast array of patient populations. We take care of patients who need closer monitoring but don’t quite need ICU and are too sick or complex to be on a medical-surgical unit. It’s a challenging, fun, fast-paced, teamwork orientated unit.
