Job Title: RN Cardiac Cath Lab

Position Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) in a cardiac cath lab assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional heart procedures, such as catheterizations and angioplasties. Their duties include preparing patients, monitoring vital signs during procedures, assisting the physician, administering medications, and providing post-procedure care and education
10D 7:30a - 6p (40 hours per week) / One weekend requirement every 3 weeks plus every other holiday / Call requirement; 3 week call rotation (one week 4 days, one week two days, one week one days)
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing assessment, monitoring and intervention for cardiac procedures, such as coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty and pericardiocentesis
- Administering oral and intravenous medication to patients
- Operating intra-aortic balloons, physiological recorders and printers for monitoring electrocardiogram data
- Managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
- Educating patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications and other postoperative information
- Managing paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results and procedure documentation
- Collaborating with other medical staff as needed
- PA or Compact RN license in hand
- ACLS, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2 years of RN Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Pay Rate
$79.11 - $82.31/hour
