Echo Tech Sonographer / Cardiology
Start Date: 5/19
Shift:4x10s Days 0700-1730
Daily Caseload per tech: 6-8 studies per day
Years of experience REQ: 2 year min as full time sonographer
Certs REQ: RDCS or RCS, BLS
First-timers accepted: No, 2 years of travel exp req
Weekend REQ: Yes, 2 Saturday shifts per 13 week contract
Is on-call REQ? Yes
What is the req? 5 on call shifts per month (this can be M-Sat 1730-0700 or Sun 0700-1900)
Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? NO

Patient Population:
HMC is the regional trauma and burn referral center for the five state region, the county safety-net hospital, and is an academic medical center (affiliated with University of Washington) with centers of excellence in emergency medicine, neurosciences and vascular surgery. Thus, the patient population includes the following:
- trauma and burn patients
- stroke and surgery patients
- mission population: non-English speaking poor, uninsured/underinsured, victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, people incarcerated in county jails, people with mental illness and substance abuse problems, and people with sexually transmitted diseases
