Job Title: Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures that support accurate patient diagnosis and clinical decision-making. The technologist will operate radiographic equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, and follow established imaging protocols while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and imaging guidelines.

  • Position patients correctly to obtain clear and accurate images while ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Operate radiographic equipment and monitor image quality to meet clinical standards.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and equipment logs.

  • Follow radiation safety practices, including proper shielding and exposure-reduction techniques.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support efficient workflow and patient care.

  • Assist with room preparation, equipment cleaning, and supply management.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a general radiographer.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Not applicable.

Required Education:

  • Completion of an appropriate training program for Radiologic Technologists, including military training if applicable.

Preferred Education:

  • Not applicable.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Valid license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT (R) certification preferred or typically required.

  • Experience in diagnostic radiography in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques, radiation safety, and patient positioning.

  • Strong communication, patient-care, and technical skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently, maintain accuracy, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate
$67.48 - $72.36/hour
