Pharmacy Technician

Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians assist in the preparation and distribution of medications and in maintaining drug inventory. They must adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements governing pharmacy and institutional practice. Work may include rotating assignments between satellites, tours, and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities:

Work under the supervision of a pharmacist, rotating assignments and tours to meet departmental needs.
Perform duties accurately and with attention to detail within specified timeframes.
Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas.
Operate equipment properly and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year required.
Preferred Experience: Pharmacy dispensing, sterile processing, and IV room experience.
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Pay Rate
$29.22 - $32.42/hour
