Job Description:
Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Education Requirements :
Post High School Diploma Program ( Required)
Non Degree Program : Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program. (Required)
Experience :
2 Years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position (Required)
1 Year experience in Mammography (Preferred)
Certification and Licensure:
Experience License/Certifications RT(R)(M) - Reg Technologist (R) (M) (Required)
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required) _
