Job Details

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Perform evaluations and treatment interventions for patients/residents with variety of diagnoses and impairments. Caseload varies from pediatrics to geriatrics across multiple treatment settings including hospital, swing bed, outpatient, home health, senior care settings. Interdisciplinary communication to coordinate patient care and treatment plan. Timely documentation utilizing electronic charting.


Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Electronic documentation using Epic, Epic remote client.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Certified occupational therapist with license.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Licensed in state of Iowa

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Monday-Friday, 8 hour days.


Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Not anticipated.


Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 25

Dress Code: Business casual


Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Department consists of 8 PTs, 1 PTA, 1 OT, and 1 SLP and support staff. Good variety of experienced therapists.
