Job Description:
Job Summary: Evaluates, selects, performs and/or directs assistance in educational, vocational and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, upon physician’s referral. Works with family and health team members regarding patient’s abilities and goals.
Education: Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon. Current valid Oregon driver’s license required. Current CPR certification required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have necessary requisites for licensure as a Occupational Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health. Current CPR certification required
Experience/Knowledge: Must have a current knowledge of occupational therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts. Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members. Must possess a positive attitude and utilize good communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
