- Unit: Lab - MLT/MT
- Certs: BLS. MLT/MT need ASCP or AMT certifications.
- What areas do they cover: Hematology, Coag, Chemistry, Micro, Blood Bank.
- Do they need to be a Generalist: Yes
- Do they need to perform Phlebotomy: Yes
- Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Must have Generalist experience. Prefer experience with all
systems and equipmen.
- LIS System: Blood Bank: Softbank, Hematology: WAM, Chemistry: Unity.
- EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area: EPIC. Chemistry: Vitros analyzer, Hematology- Sysmex analyzer, Coagulation:
TOP analyzer.
-Is there a Lab Manager/Supervisor on each shift: A resource will be available and have an Administrator on Call.
- Do you staff lab assistants: Phlebotomists and Processors.
- Shifts & Scheduling: Mix of 8 and 10 hour shifts depending where the need is. Day start times: 0645, 9, 10. Nights:
anywhere from 1845-2045. No self scheduling. 2 techs staffed on days, 1 on nights.
- Weekend Requirements: Usually every 3rd but could be more if there is a need, weekends are 12 hour shifts.
- Holiday Requirements: Will work a holiday if there is a need.
- Call or Standby Call Requirement: No
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color as long as clean and professional.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Yes- 1 week.
**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.**
