Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The LPN supports patient assessments, administers treatments and medications, and contributes to a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide basic nursing care in accordance with care plans and physician orders

Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition

Administer medications and treatments as permitted by state scope of practice

Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Collect specimens and perform basic clinical procedures
-
Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising RN or provider
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Support patient and family education under RN guidance
-
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
Required:
-
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
-
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state-specific)
-
BLS certification
Preferred:
-
Previous experience in healthcare setting (acute care, long-term care, outpatient, or rehab)
-
IV therapy certification (if applicable by state)

Experience with EMR systems
Pay Rate
$29.31 - $34.19/hour
