LPN – Nursing Home
Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care to residents in a long-term care or nursing home facility. They work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician to ensure resident safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and hygiene support.

Monitor residents’ vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and infection control.

Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the RN or physician promptly.

Document care provided, medications given, and changes in resident conditions in the medical chart.

Support residents with daily living activities (ADLs).

Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.

Follow facility policies, state regulations, and nursing standards of care.
Skills & Qualifications:

Active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment.

Basic knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care standards.

Strong communication and observation skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to elderly care.
Pay Rate
$24.57 - $27.77/hour
