Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations. The ideal candidate will be organized, customer-focused, and skilled in pharmacy operations, ensuring optimal patient care and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy technicians and other staff.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and managing drug inventory.
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy procedures and regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to improve pharmacy operations and patient services.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in Pharmacy Technology is preferred.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, with a proven record of leading or supervising a team.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Certification and registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and other computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in Health Administration specialization.
• Knowledge of prescription processing, medication dispensing, and drug storage procedures.
• Familiarity with pharmacy law compliance, medical terminology, and inventory management.
Shift Details:
• Paid Hours Per Day: 8 hours
• Shift Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week
