Job Title: Interventional Technologist
Job Summary
The Interventional Technologist provides technical and clinical support during interventional and minimally invasive procedures. Working under the supervision of physicians and in collaboration with the healthcare team, the Interventional Technologist prepares patients and equipment, assists during procedures, and ensures high standards of patient safety, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians during interventional procedures (e.g., vascular, cardiac, or radiologic interventions)

Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper functionality and sterility

Position patients and operate imaging equipment as required by procedure protocols

Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control and radiation safety standards

Monitor patients during procedures and report changes in condition to the clinical team

Document procedure details, imaging data, and patient information accurately

Administer contrast media and medications as permitted by scope of practice and policy

Perform equipment quality control and troubleshoot technical issues

Participate in on-call coverage and emergency procedures as required
Qualifications & Requirements

Active certification or licensure as an Interventional Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent (as applicable)

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or allied health program

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred depending on setting

Knowledge of interventional procedures, anatomy, and imaging techniques

Familiarity with radiation safety principles and regulatory standards

Proficiency with imaging systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

Pay Rate
$86.02 - $90.89/hour
