Director of Nursing (DON)
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing the overall clinical operations of the nursing department within a healthcare facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective management of staff, compliance with healthcare regulations, and coordination with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff.

Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

Manage staffing schedules, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Maintain high standards of patient care and ensure patient safety.

Oversee clinical documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams.

Handle budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory management for the nursing department.

Address patient or family concerns related to nursing services.

Monitor quality assurance and participate in audits and inspections.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Valid RN license.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.

Several years of clinical and supervisory experience.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical best practices.
Pay Rate
$67.13 - $72.00/hour
