- Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Meal Break: 60 minutes (unpaid)
Start Date: January 1, 2025
End Date: June 30, 2025
Pay: $85/90 per hour
Contract Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose common dermatological conditions, and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Minor Procedures: Perform minor surgical procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on skin care, disease prevention, and overall wellness.
- Collaboration: Work with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology and incorporate them into your practice.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in any specialization
- High School Diploma
- Certification:
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in Virginia
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dermatology, including dermatological procedures (e.g., skin biopsies, cryotherapy)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wound care, patient assessment, medical history recording, prescription writing, and EHR management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in patient education
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Preferred Skills:
- Suturing knowledge is a plus
