Department: Cardiology | MA
*Required Certifications: BLS.*
- Locations: 12th floor Concourse.
- # beds/rooms: 4 exam rooms for cardiology, 3 for preadmission testing. 2 rooms for CHF. Total of 9 Rooms.
- Average # of providers in the clinic/day: 8-10 Providers a day.
- Average # of patients/day: Approx. 80-100 patients a day. Each Provider sees about 10-15 patients each day.
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Common diagnosis: Chest pain, palpitations, hypertension, Afib, CH, Preoperative evaluations, wide range of cardiac
diseases, Chronic SOB etc.
- Experience: Must have experience with 12 Lead EKGs, Vitals, & Glucometer Testing. Prefer experience with placing halter
monitors- but willing to train travelers on this.
- Job Duties: Rooming patients, admissions, 12-Lead EKGs, vitals, halter monitor placements, blood sugar testing, turning
over rooms, and more.
- EMR: Allscripts
- Shifts & Scheduling: 8am-5:30pm. We do not utilize self scheduling. All employees work 5 days a week. No block
scheduling.
- Weekend Requirement: Needs to be available to work a Saturday day shift when a weekend session is scheduled.
Saturdays only, no Sunday sessions.
- Holiday Requirement: The clinic is closed on all holiday.
- Is there a call or standby requirement?: None
- Floating Requirements: May be asked to float to other clinics if there are staffing issues.
- Scrub Color: Eggplant
- How many shifts for orientation?: 2-3 weeks
