Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the surgical services team at a high-volume 111-bed specialty hospital in Skokie, IL. This facility specializes in Orthopedic and Spine procedures and operates a state-of-the-art 20-room OR, typically running 17–18 rooms daily. The ideal candidate will have extensive orthopedic surgical experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and properly sterilized.
Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating surgical needs.
Set up and handle specialized equipment for orthopedic, spine, sports medicine, total joint, and robotics-assisted procedures.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Monitor and maintain surgical instruments and ensure compliance with hospital sterilization standards.
Adhere to all infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality protocols.
Participate in rotational on-call and weekend/holiday coverage as assigned.
Respond promptly to call-backs (2-hour minimum requirement).

Required Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent CST experience in:
General, Hand, Foot/Ankle, Sports Medicine, Total Joint, and Spine Ortho surgeries
Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgeries using Mako, Rosa, or Cori systems
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced OR environment
Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility

License/Certification Requirements:

NBSTSA Certification (Certified Surgical Technologist) – Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

Pay Rate
$43.24 - $46.44/hour
