Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the delivery of occupational therapy services and help patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to carry out treatment plans, assist patients in achieving therapeutic goals, and promote functional independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.

  • Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve strength, coordination, and functional skills.

  • Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs, and the use of assistive devices.

  • Observe, document, and report patient progress and responses to treatment to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care, treatments, and outcomes.

  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment for sessions.

  • Promote a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for patients.

  • Collaborate with the therapy and interdisciplinary care teams to support coordinated patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.

  • Prior experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospital, or outpatient settings preferred.

  • Strong communication, observation, and patient-interaction skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed care plans and work effectively under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to providing therapeutic care.

Pay Rate
$16.50 - $16.50/hour
