Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patients in improving their ability to perform daily living and work-related activities. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, provide hands-on therapy, and help patients achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ functional abilities

  • Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and cognitive abilities

  • Support patients in developing skills for activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care, and work-related tasks

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercises, and use of assistive devices

  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist

  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and updates in compliance with regulations

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective care

  • Promote a safe, motivating, and supportive environment for patients during therapy sessions

  • Stay current with best practices, therapy techniques, and relevant technologies

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Prior experience in a clinical, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing setting preferred

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists

  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality care

  • Physical ability to assist patients with exercises and functional activities

Pay Rate
$16.50 - $16.50/hour
