Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (Rapid Response Crisis)
Location: Arcata, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (Guaranteed except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year weeks)
Shift: Day shift with shared call coverage

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team in California for a rapid response crisis assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sterile processing procedures, ensuring the safety and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, assemble, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
Operate sterilization and disinfection equipment according to facility and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet procedural needs efficiently.
Adhere to all infection control, safety, and quality assurance guidelines.
Participate in shared on-call rotation as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required.
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required (CBSPD or IAHCSMM).
State License: Not required for this position.
Experience with CPSI/Evident EMR preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate
$28.60 - $31.80/hour
